Senior Media Officer

Hudson Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Media Officer to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our Media Team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and growing our organization's reputation through effective media and communication activities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Media Team to deliver high-quality media advice, materials, and services to internal stakeholders and ministerial offices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and ministers' offices to respond effectively to media enquiries and prepare media materials such as media briefings, releases, and talking points.
- Engage in various activities, including administrative tasks, to support operational needs.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call roster, including some weekend work, with an appropriate allowance provided.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication style and language according to the audience.
- Proven ability to deliver quality outcomes in a small team, including producing high-quality media releases, speeches, and briefing material.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with ministerial staff, executives, and policy areas.
- An ability to identify and pitch proactive media opportunities to promote our programs and policies.
- The maturity and judgment to manage competing priorities and deliver work within deadlines.
- Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
