Job Description

We are seeking experienced Legal Assistants and Professional Services Personal Assistants and Secretaries to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in the smooth running of our practice groups, assisting lawyers in delivering high-quality work while managing deadlines and competing priorities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering accurate work while managing deadlines and competing priorities;
  • Managing the billing process for your direct team, including clients with specific billing requirements;
  • Organising national and international travel;
  • Assisting partners and lawyers with client and cost reporting requirements;
  • Managing Partners internal and external appointments with appropriate meeting lead times, including travel and diary management;
  • Assisting with meeting preparation and the coordination of post-meeting actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 18 months' experience as a legal secretary or professional services secretary;
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Teams);
  • Impeccable attention to detail;
  • Experience in using legal billing systems and client management programs (Aderant desirable);
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to think ahead;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise competing demands from multiple stakeholders;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
