Job Title: Clinical Triage Specialist

As a clinical triage specialist, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective care pathways through strong phone-based triage experience.

About the Role:

  • Conduct screening assessments across the lifespan to ensure appropriate care allocations.
  • Assess and manage risk, allocating follow-up care in line with Victorian Mental Health Triage Response categories.
  • Direct referrals to the most suitable team or external provider.
  • Support after-hours bed management for acute admissions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in MasterCare and TRAK systems.

About You:

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN3) with proven experience in mental health triage, clinical decision-making, and crisis assessment.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
  • A valid driver's license is required for regional and remote roles.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in mental health nursing.
  • Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to commit to travel nursing contracts in regional/remote areas for at least 12 weeks.
