Join our Nurse Triage team at Amplar Health, where we "make health personal" for clients and employees, promoting a healthier way of working while maintaining performance and customer satisfaction.
You will have the opportunity to work from home with flexible hours and rosters. This role can be based anywhere in Australia, including regional or rural areas.
As a Triage Nurse within Amplar Health Virtual Services, you will assist people who contact us for clinical advice and support. Following a triage, you will provide appropriate health information and/or provider referral if needed.
Training and Start DatesFull-time paid training (7 days, 9:00 am–5:00 pm AEST) with start dates on the 6th and 20th of October. You must be available to complete the full training to be considered.
After training you will receive ongoing support from our Senior clinicians.
Hours and FTE- Part-time (22.5 hrs) to full-time (37.5 hrs) fixed-term contract until 30 June 2026, with possibility of extension.
- Roster requirements: at least 65% after hours (AEST; after hours defined as 15:00–07:00 Monday–Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday, and public holidays).
- Fixed rosters on a 2-week rotation.
- At least one weekend per fortnight required.
- Full technology suite provided (computer and phone kit).
- Home office with a private space and closable door.
- Role involves multitasking between listening, supporting callers, typing notes, and referring to clinical resources.
- Fast, reliable internet with a minimum of 50 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service with strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a professional phone manner. You should be self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working to KPIs and targets.
- Minimum of three years full-time equivalent recent nursing experience as a Registered Nurse Division 1, with current AHPRA registration and no notations.
- Varied nursing background with substantial public contact (e.g., A&E, Paediatrics, Community Care, Acute Medical/Surgical).
- Confidence in delivering high-standard customer service in a call centre environment.
- Ability to work autonomously to resolve problems; comfortable with computerised patient management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong nursing assessment skills.
- Availability to work weekends and nights.
- Comfort with virtual communication platforms (audio/video, chat, IM, collaboration software).
- Commitment to continuing professional development and experience in a corporate environment.
