Imaging Care Specialist Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to work in a complex clinical environment, providing high-quality imaging care to patients. You will be part of a team that delivers comprehensive diagnostic and interventional imaging services.

The role offers valuable experience in imaging care and the opportunity to gain a better understanding of technical aspects, as well as appropriate use of clinical imaging services.

We have subspecialist imaging services including Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal imaging, Abdominal and pelvic imaging, Thoracic and Cardiovascular imaging.

You will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of imaging settings and participate in the care of patients from multiple clinical disciplines and settings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality imaging care to patients in a complex clinical environment.
  • Observe and participate in all stages of Radiological examination, including referral, triaging, prescribing oral and intra-venous contrast, checking for allergies, supervision, assistance with performance and communication of the procedure.
  • Assist senior Radiologists in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology.

Requirements:

  • MEDICAL DEGREE or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Minimum 2 years postgraduate experience and recent provision of clinical care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
