Urban Planning Development Trainee

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide planning and development advice through pre-lodgement services
  • Assist with assessing development proposals and related applications
  • Support customers via counter, phone, and email
  • Ensure applications meet legislative requirements
  • Prepare reports, memorandums, and correspondence on development matters
  • Undertake site inspections and coordinate feedback from internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Enrolment in a tertiary course leading to a qualification in town planning or a related discipline
  • Strong interest in development assessment and statutory planning
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of relevant planning legislation and regulations
