Primary Healthcare Manager Opportunity

A rewarding career awaits for a skilled Primary Healthcare Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team based in Balgo, WA.

This full-time position features a 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off roster.

  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of quality primary healthcare services to the community through effective leadership and collaboration with external health service providers;
  • Supervise daily operations, staff, and coordination of health service delivery at the centre;
  • Oversee operational management, including financial management and Medicare income generation in consultation with senior executives;
  • Support the role of the Aboriginal health workforce to improve health outcomes;
  • Direct clinic staff to provide professional, evidence-based primary healthcare utilizing a holistic and culturally appropriate approach.

About You

You will be a Registered Nurse or Practitioner with current registration, holding at least 5 years postgraduate experience and previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of primary healthcare and emergency services.

Strong leadership and management skills, a good understanding of cultural safety principles, and commitment to Aboriginal community-controlled health are essential.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills are required to effectively engage with Aboriginal communities.

Experience within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations is highly regarded.

Mandatory requirements include a valid driver's license, ability to travel by road and small plane, and willingness to undergo police and working with children checks.
