Maritime Infrastructure Expert
The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic chance to join our team and work on large scale multi-discipline maritime facilities for various industries including defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability.
You will apply your existing experience across these different industries and gain exposure to new and interesting projects. You will be supported by other disciplines and get to work on a range of projects.
We work on high-profile projects like the AUKUS nuclear powered submarine facility upgrades, but we do much more than just defence. Our team works on large-scale clean energy projects, boating infrastructure, wharf and port infrastructure, and remediation of valuable public assets.
This role will see you leveraging your existing coastal engineering experience to deliver everything from concept designs through to construction phase support. While this is primarily a technical role, you will have opportunities for leadership (project management and design management), business development (proposal preparation and client positioning).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, evaluate and report on ports, harbours, coastal works and marine structures (wharves, jetties, port developments, marinas, seawalls, pontoons, dredging)
- Work with coastal modelling software (DELFt-3D, SWAN, MIKE)
- Collaborate with local governments, port clients and/or the Defence sector
- Apply Australian design codes and guidelines
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff to enhance their skills and capability
- Project manage and/or design manage small maritime projects
- Engage with clients, pursue opportunities and win work
Requirements:
- Chartered Professional Engineer (or ability to get chartership within agreed timeframe)
- Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance
About Us:
We are a growing team with a range of diverse and varied professionals. If you don't meet the experience above, but still think you can contribute to the team, we encourage you to apply and discuss further.
The Benefits:
- Industry leading salaries, reviewed annually
- The opportunity to accrue an additional 8 hours of time off every 4 weeks
- Salary packaging and Novated leases
- Salary continuance (Income protection)
- Paid Professional Membership Fees
- Life/Health insurance discounts
