Perth Cargo Operations Manager

We are hiring for a key leadership position to support and lead our Perth operation as Cargo Service Delivery Supervisor. The role involves overseeing and supporting the cargo warehouse facility, office, and administration tasks that drive business efficiency and effectiveness.

This is a 24/7 rotation among three supervisors who will ensure smooth operations and high service standards across all functions. If you have what it takes to excel in this dynamic environment, read on.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Supervise and coordinate work areas during operational shifts to deliver customer-centric cargo services.
  2. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members to achieve high levels of performance and service excellence.
  3. Allocate resources efficiently to meet operational requirements and service level agreements.
  4. Ensure compliance with industry standards, legislation, and standard operating procedures.
  5. Monitor and report critical business issues and metrics.
OH & S RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Comply with safety and environment policies and legislative health and safety requirements.
  2. Develop and maintain a positive safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance.
  3. Conduct work according to Health and Safety Management System guidelines.
  4. Follow all safety work procedures and adhere to safety guidelines.
  5. Participate in emergency drills and evacuations.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  1. Demonstrated leadership experience and commitment to driving a customer-centric service culture.
  2. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  3. High computer literacy and ability to navigate complex systems.
  4. Previous experience in regulated industries with the ability to manage ongoing compliance and industry standards.
  5. Understanding of financial processes and ability to drive business improvement initiatives.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
  1. Knowledge of airline industry principles and procedures.
  2. Familiarity with cargo handling and warehouse operations.
