Supervisor - Cargo Service Delivery

This role oversees and supports the day-to-day business issues within an environment of sensitivities, constraints, and competing stakeholder priorities. Key responsibilities include managing a customer-centric cargo operation, on-the-job team coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to achieve high levels of performance and service excellence.

The supervisor ensures efficient and effective allocation of resources to deliver operational requirements and meet Service Level Agreements. Quality metrics and reporting are provided on critical business issues. A positive safety culture is reinforced within the team focused on awareness and vigilance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a customer-centric cargo operation including supervision, organisation, and coordination of all work areas during an operational shift;
  • On-the-job team coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to achieve high levels of performance and service excellence;
  • Ensure the efficient and effective allocation of resources to deliver operational requirements and meet Service Level Agreements;
  • Deliver to and monitor business processes and standard operating procedures ensuring compliance to industry standards and legislation;
Safety Responsibilities
  • Compliance with legislative Health & Safety requirements;
  • Develop and maintain a positive safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance;
  • Conduct work in accordance with Health & Safety Management System;
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and a commitment to driving a customer-centric service culture within the team;
  • Good communication skills both written and oral and negotiation skills;
  • High level of computer literacy;
  • Previous experience in a highly controlled and regulated industry with the ability to lead, translate, implement and manage ongoing compliance, industry standards, and legislative requirements into standard operations;
