A dynamic and supportive work environment awaits a skilled Principal Scientist to lead our laboratory team in Mt Kuring-gai, NSW. As a permanent full-time position, you will oversee the operation of our laboratory, ensuring compliance with GMP requirements and leading the qualification of laboratory equipment.

About the Role
The Principal Scientist will play a key strategic role in developing in-house analytical testing capability. In consultation with senior leadership, you will establish market trends and priorities, delivering a program of works that provides a superior stability offering for our compounded medicines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation of the SLH laboratory, ensuring compliance with procedures and GMP requirements.
- Qualify laboratory equipment.
- Manage, train, and support scientists and laboratory technicians.
- Develop and validate physical and chemical methods for analysis, including monoclonal antibodies, antibody drug conjugates, antibiotics, small chemical drug molecules, and drug infusion devices.
- Design and conduct experimental work.
- Prepare protocols and reports according to SLH and ICH guidelines.
- Investigate non-conformances, OOSs, and deviations as required.
- Manage the stability study program.
What We Are Looking For
We seek a Ph.D.-qualified individual who is commercially focused, familiar with cGMP requirements, and able to prioritize workloads to meet challenging deadlines. You should be an independent thinker and innovator with experience in various analytical techniques, including HPLC, CZE, ELISA, UV/VIS, cell-based assays, and physical analysis techniques such as subvisible particles/microscopy.
This is a permanent full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight (Mon-Fri). If you are looking for a commute-free location without CBD traffic, consider Slade Health Mt Kuring-gai.
Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum
