Design Manager

CIMIC Group Limited is seeking a seasoned Project Coordinator to lead the design function across minerals processing projects.

The ideal candidate will oversee the technical guidance and administrative support for engineering staff, ensuring project requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and evaluate the work of engineers and drafting staff to ensure technical competence and performance meet project standards.
  • Develop and implement project workloads and provide technical guidance to Design Engineering staff.
  • Collaborate with Management to plan resources for project design, ensuring resource requirements are met.
  • Administer technical briefs for sub-consultant engagement.
  • Prepare and control issue of the Project Design Management Plan.
  • Coordinate design interfaces with clients' designers as required.
  • Manage Engineers/ Designers to ensure authorization and issue of documents and drawings to stakeholders.
  • Respond to technical queries from contractors and project staff in a timely manner.
  • Identify, investigate, record, monitor and report on actions, resolution and costs of identified design non-conformances.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years industry experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of organization projects and practices.
  • Experience in leading and managing technical/project teams.
