Job Role:

Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical

As a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical, you will play a crucial role in leading mechanical design teams on assigned projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating tasks, attending sales and project review meetings, developing system designs and layouts, managing design schedules and budgets, and liaising with project managers, architects, builders, consultants, and purchasing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the mechanical design team on assigned projects.
  • Attend sales and project review meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop system designs and layouts that meet client requirements.
  • Manage design schedules and budgets to ensure timely completion and cost-effectiveness.
  • Liaise with project managers, architects, builders, consultants, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Check and approve drawings, calculations, and technical documentation to maintain quality standards.
  • Develop mechanical installation work packages and inspection and test plans to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Provide technical support and advice to other areas of the business and junior employees.
  • Assist with system commissioning and testing to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Experience in mechanical design and project management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed designs and models.
