The Tree Management Officer role is critical in maintaining and enhancing the urban and open space tree canopy.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual who is passionate about tree management and environmental sustainability.
- AQF Level 5 Diploma in Horticulture (Arboriculture) or nearing completion is required.
- A valid Class C Driver's Licence and NSW WHS White Card are necessary.
- Proven experience in tree assessment and management is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
- The ability to use technology and systems for record-keeping and reporting is also required.
You will be responsible for proactive management and enhancement of our urban and open space tree assets, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Your expertise in arboriculture will guide your decision-making to maximise the environmental, social and economic benefits provided by public trees.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will actively manage risks associated with trees through proactive inspection, ongoing data input, conducting audits and maintaining the tree register via our Asset Management System.
Maintain high standards of customer service and complete other duties as directed by your Coordinator or Manager.
Selection CriteriaSuitable candidates are subject to pre-employment screening which includes Reference Checks, Work Rights Verification, Identity and Functional/Medical History Checks, Criminal History, Qualification and Working with Children Check.
