Business Transformation Opportunity: Drive Risk Management

Join a dynamic team driving significant enterprise-wide transformation of risk culture and capability, contributing to the implementation of the Board-endorsed Three Lines Model across the organisation.

As a key member of the Group Risk team, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with colleagues to drive strategic projects, including the design, rollout and administration of the GRC platform. Your responsibilities will include performing ongoing system design, enhancements and testing; contributing to the improvement of the GRC by identifying and escalating items related to risk registers, workflows, risk and controls libraries, incidents and issues management, and reporting; preparing insightful risk reporting and analysis for executive management and board committees; driving change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement around risk management within the organisation; supporting the rollout of Iress' new Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system; enhancing awareness and understanding of core risk management principles and practices; driving accountability for risk-based decision-making and risk-first behaviours at all levels; providing ongoing enhancements to risk management policies, procedures and training; communicating key risk frameworks and Board-approved risk appetite to the wider organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, rollout and administration of the GRC platform
  • Contribute to the improvement of the GRC
  • Prepare insightful risk reporting and analysis
  • Drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Support the rollout of Iress' new Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system
  • Enhance awareness and understanding of core risk management principles and practices
  • Drive accountability for risk-based decision-making and risk-first behaviours
  • Provide ongoing enhancements to risk management policies, procedures and training

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce and/or a Technology-related field
  • Experience in a Line 1 or Line 2 operational risk role, ideally within banking, financial services or professional services
  • Proven data analytics and risk reporting skills through a risk management system and technical ability to support system administration
  • Strong understanding of risk management and monitoring processes
  • Team player with strong collaboration, influencing and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
