Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, package reviews, and subcontract administration.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to utilize their skills and expertise in contract administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the procurement of materials, drafting subcontract documentation, and reviewing trade packages scope of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the procurement of materials across various projects
  • Draft subcontract documentation
  • Review, develop, and administer trade packages scope of work
  • Assess quotes, negotiate, and provide tender price comparisons and recommendations
  • Respond to on-site requests from site teams
  • Obtain and assess trade variations, and assist with the preparation of head contract variation submission
  • Provide regular letting and vetting updates to the Project Manager
  • Manage client and subcontractor RFIs from site
  • Head Contract & Subcontract administration
  • Manage and track project expenditure and prepare a monthly report
  • Programme and system management including reviews for compliance, accuracy, efficiency, and improvements
  • Determine supply costs from new and existing suppliers
  • Data entry and general administration
  • Assist in upskilling Project Managers on commercial aspects of a project
  • Mentor Contract Administrators, Graduates, Cadets, and new starters and provide feedback

About You:

  • A genuine passion for the construction industry
  • Tertiary qualified in construction management or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of contract administration experience, ideally in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment
  • Experience in a contract administration role on multiple $50M+ projects
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members
  • JOBPAC experience preferred, as well as proficiency across MS Suite
  • Agile thinking and ability to identify opportunities
  • Confidence and demonstrated capability in negotiation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex issues with clarity and ease
  • A meticulous eye for detail and outstanding record keeping skills
  • Ability to work well both autonomously and in team environments with a commitment to organisational success
