Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned project professional to oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly outcomes that meet the highest standards of compliance and quality.

  • Establish effective project governance structures, incorporating stakeholder sign-off at key milestones.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, working closely with the Project Steering Committee and General manager Operational Services for approval.
  • Implement approved strategies within project parameters, developing cost-saving initiatives to reduce expenditure against budget.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project, including account management and timely reporting.
  • Nurture effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
About You
  • A postgraduate qualification or industry certification combined with high-level relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in program and/or project management methodologies.
  • Proven skills in managing complex and/or high-risk projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management in the public sector and awareness of issues related to a government environment.
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to gain acceptance and cooperation from others.
  • Ability to navigate complex and challenging environments.
  • Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Initiative to identify and ensure appropriate actions are taken to achieve goals.
  • Capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.

This is a full-time, permanent position. While flexible work arrangements are available, it is essential that the successful candidate maintains a presence at Blackburn in line with our hybrid working model.
