The Role: The QA Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
This role involves managing QA documentation, tracking inspections, coordinating with project teams, and maintaining quality records to uphold high construction and manufacturing standard.
Key Responsibilities: Review project drawings and documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements Collaborate with the Project Manager (PM) and Contracts Administrator (CA) to establish and implement the ITP for each active project.
Develop, manage, and maintain QA checklists in Hammertech, ensuring they align with project-specific ITPs.
Monitor the progress of in-factory projects, working closely with project teams to stay informed of real-time status updates.
Conduct daily inspections to verify that construction aligns with project drawings and meets all QA checklist and ITP requirements.
Coordinate with the Site Supervisor to address project issues promptly, ensuring seamless fabrication and production flow.
Review and approve subcontractor invoices, if required, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
Continuously develop and refine QA systems, optimising quality assurance practices to enhance efficiency and compliance across all projects.
Ensure QA processes continue on-site, following project installation, by working with Site Supervisors to maintain quality standards and complete all necessary QA checks.
About You: Architectural qualification or previous CA (Contract Administration) experience will be highly regarded Knowledge of Compliance & Standards – Understanding of construction quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices Experience in document control, quality assurance processes, and compliance reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and QA software (e.g., Hammertech, Procore, Aconex) is desirable.
Experience in tracking and maintaining QA checklists, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and defect reports.
Exposure to construction methodologies, building codes, and safety requirements is an advantage.
