We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Learning Facilitator/Lecturer in Psychology to join our team at Torrens University Australia Limited. Key Responsibilities- Teach and coordinate subjects in our Bachelor of Psychological Science degree, including lectures, seminars, and workshops.
- Develop and maintain high-quality teaching materials and resources.
- Contribute to the development of our Psychology programs, including curriculum design and subject coordination.
- Lead and conduct research in areas related to wellbeing and mental health, including the psychology of virtual reality, gender and indigenous experience, and the use of technology in education.
- Supervise and mentor academic staff, including junior lecturers and research students.
- Collaborate with other academic staff to influence group approaches and identify best practice in teaching and learning.
- PhD in Psychology.
- Significant knowledge of specific Psychology subject areas combined with a broad disciplinary background.
- Broad experience in tertiary education, including teaching, course leadership, and curriculum development.
- Understanding of pedagogical and/or adult learning principles relevant to the student cohort being taught.
- Strong research track record in an area related to wellbeing and mental health.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to work competently and harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds.
- High service ethos and work commitment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
