About the Role

The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, Media is a key position in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and research in the discipline of Media Production, with a focus on creative media production across various platforms.

As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching into undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs, maintaining and advancing scholarship, research, and industry relationships in the field. You will work collaboratively with fellow academics to undertake associated duties such as academic advising and student selection.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in creative media production, teaching, and research in the field of media production. For a Level C appointment, you will also have a proven track record of high-quality research outputs, experience in supervising higher degree by research candidates, and a demonstrated understanding of the financial, governance, and quality management systems within a university.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach into undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs
  • Maintain and advance scholarship, research, and industry relationships in the field
  • Work collaboratively with fellow academics to undertake associated duties
  • Contribute to the development of the program

Qualifications

Mandatory: PhD in a relevant field
