About the Role

The Senior Governance role is a key position within the City of Parramatta Council, responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of governance processes. This includes compliance with legislative requirements, management of delegations, and public access to information under the GIPA and privacy legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Governance Officers and oversee the review and alignment of governance policies
  • Manage large-scale governance projects and provide expert advice on governance-related matters
  • Ensure Council's compliance with risk management frameworks and promote continuous improvement and best practices
  • Statutory reviews, stakeholder liaison, and public access to information
