Quality Assurance Officer Job

The Quality Assurance Officer will provide efficient and effective objective quality evidence for tasks conducted by trade functions in the shipyard. This opportunity is suitable for individuals with a trade background who are looking to transition into an office-based role.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with the project team and trade function to ensure the quality standard for the task is understood.
  • Develop objective quality evidence to meet internal and external customer requirements, ensuring vessel integrity.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance and record them in the quality management system.
  • Liaise with the quality assurance function to identify continuous improvement opportunities with Austal's operating processes and documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualification in a relevant field (Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker, Painter).
  • Sound written English skills.
  • MS Office experience.
