Job Description

Moonlight Cinema is a beloved outdoor cinema experience that combines the magic of film with a festival atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead operations for our Sydney location.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, including site set-up and pack-down, coordinating season bump-in and bump-out, and leading a team of onsite crew. They will also oversee food & beverage operations, sponsorship activations, and AV operations.

This role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations, including site set-up and pack-down
  • Coordinate season bump-in and bump-out, including production scheduling
  • Lead a team of ~45 onsite crew
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff
  • Manage food & beverage operations (ordering, invoice processing, and stock control)
  • Oversee sponsorship activations and ensure contractual deliverables are delivered to a high standard
  • Prepare rosters and manage payroll
  • Oversee AV operations, including screen and audio set-up and content management
  • Implement management plans and ensure WHS compliance
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a management role
  • Previous experience in food and beverage and customer service
  • Cinema or event management experience (advantageous)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, process and operational requirements
  • Experience leading and motivating a casual workforce
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and time management skills
  • A collaborative approach with a can-do attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Required: Current RSA and valid driver's license
