Electrical Safety Specialist

The purpose of this role is to guarantee a safe working environment for all staff and project teams on electrical contractor sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and motivate staff and project teams to minimize or eliminate hazards.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, deliver site inductions, and create effective safety committees as part of project consultation procedures.
  • Develop and recommend strategies to prevent hazards from worsening.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to identify WHSE training needs for the project.
  • Accurately record and distribute WHSE data.

Requirements:

  • Relevant diploma in Health and Safety
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • 1-2 years of experience in HSE profession
  • Practical understanding of WH&S Act, Rules, Codes of Conduct, and Australian Standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
