Scientific Laboratory Assistant

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic regional healthcare team as a Diagnostic Services Support Specialist, supporting vital diagnostic services across South Australia.
The successful applicant will have the chance to apply their technical knowledge across areas such as Microbiology, Haematology, Clinical Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine. They will collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety while also participating in quality improvement and professional development activities.
Key responsibilities include sample collection, data entry, and diagnostic testing, as well as excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved and recognised laboratory qualification is required, along with General lab experience and relevant skills.
