About this Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager with expertise in Clinical Microbiology and Molecular Biology to lead our team.
This is a temporary full-time position covering a maternity relief role for up to 12 months, providing a great opportunity for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee laboratory operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in management, compliance, financial planning, performance monitoring, risk management, human resources, and strategic planning.
- Provide technical scientific supervision of laboratories located at Bathurst, Orange, Lithgow, and Blue Mountains.
Requirements
- Proven leadership and operational skills with experience in budgeting, staff management, and maintaining professional standards and accreditation within regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and risk management, including knowledge of relevant legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training to medical, scientific, and technical staff, as well as contribute to ongoing training assessments and competency verification programs.
Note: This is a Category A position. All recruits must agree to comply with NSW Health Policy Directive prior to appointment.
