We are currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to fill a permanent, full-time position in our Chemistry Laboratory. Located at Royal North Shore Hospital, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering excellence in patient care and providing first-class healthcare to a diverse range of patients.
About the RoleAs a Medical Laboratory Scientist, your key responsibilities will include coordinating and providing scientific and technical training, reviewing, developing, and managing laboratory practices to ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, quality standards, and ongoing process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide scientific and technical training to enhance staff knowledge and skills
- Ongoing review, development, and management of laboratory practices to maintain high-quality results
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, quality standards, and continuous process improvement initiatives
- Bachelor Degree or higher degree in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience working in a large Clinical Chemistry laboratory
- Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, and Microsoft Office software applications
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and patients
