Your Role

Influence the strategic development and profitable growth of the Financial Lines portfolios and provide support to the D&O, PI, FI, Cyber, and Management Liability lines of business across Australia and New Zealand.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform portfolio reviews, including enhancement of the monitoring framework sophistication.
  • Lead and perform pricing projects and rating algorithm development for key portfolios and new digital products.
  • Lead and perform pricing and performance reviews for key scheme and portfolio opportunities.
  • Provide high quality and timely actuarial advice to the Financial Lines Product team.
  • Presents to a wide range of internal stakeholders including senior management, front line business, both locally and overseas in helping to formulate business strategy.
  • Promote innovation through constantly improving current processes with an automation focus.
  • Guide and mentor actuarial analysts on projects and tasks, providing feedback and support for their development.

Your Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years work experience in Accounting.
  • Qualified actuary with 5-8 years of experience in general insurance.
  • Strong business knowledge and communication capabilities.
  • Solid foundation in applying advanced statistical and data mining techniques to solving business problems.
  • Ability to manage competing projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with key internal and external stakeholders on all projects.
  • Experience with SQL, Python or R; EMBLEM, RADAR highly desirable.
