Your Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Driven Actuarial Specialist to join our team in Australia and New Zealand. As an actuary, you will provide meaningful, insightful and timely advice to International Accident & Health (A&H) and International Personal Lines (IPL) Management teams and actuaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actuarial Analysis and Reporting: Undertake detailed analytics and preparation of analysis for pricing, portfolio monitoring and reserve reviews of key A&H and IPL portfolios for senior actuaries and product managers.
  • Modelling and Pricing: Analyze and model data to assist actuaries in producing Annual Business Plan Loss Ratios for A&H and IPL portfolios.
  • Data Management: Develop improved data and information management dashboards to enable enhanced monitoring and management of the business.
  • Individual Account and Scheme/Facility Analysis: Undertake individual account and scheme/facility analysis and pricing for senior actuaries.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strong data capabilities, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage competing projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Tertiary degree in mathematics or a related field.
  • Progress towards becoming a Fellow or Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent.
