Your Role
Influence the strategic development and profitable growth of the Financial Lines portfolios and provide support to the D&O, PI, FI, Cyber, and Management Liability lines of business across Australia and New Zealand.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and perform portfolio reviews, including enhancement of the monitoring framework sophistication.
- Lead and perform pricing projects and rating algorithm development for key portfolios and new digital products.
- Lead and perform pricing and performance reviews for key scheme and portfolio opportunities.
- Provide high quality and timely actuarial advice to the Financial Lines Product team.
- Present to a wide range of internal stakeholders including senior management, front line business, both locally and overseas in helping to formula business strategy.
- Promote innovation through constantly improving current processes with an automation focus.
- Guide and mentor actuarial analysts on projects and tasks, providing feedback and support for their development.
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
- Qualified actuary with 5-8 years of experience in general insurance.
- 5+ years work experience in Accounting or in a similar Actuarial role
- Strong business knowledge and communication capabilities
- Solid foundation in applying advanced statistical and data mining techniques to solving business problems
- Ability to manage competing projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with key internal and external stakeholders on all projects
- Experience with SQL, Python or R; EMBLEM, RADAR highly desirable.
