We are seeking a skilled Program Director to lead the delivery and coordination of Australia's New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) program.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a small team of officers in coordinating and reporting on the work of multiple branches driving the establishment of NVES within existing and new vehicle regulation systems and policies.
- Establish and maintain key strategic relationships with stakeholders across various areas of the public service.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain business and risk planning, including identifying, investigating, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks to project integrity.
- Work closely with project leads and responsible officers to ensure issues are identified early and resolved or flagged in appropriate fora.
- A strong command of project management architecture and ability to use it to establish compliance within and across NVES teams.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large and/or complex government projects, preferably with significant systems and ICT infrastructure change.
- Ability to manage urgent priorities, problem-solve, and work flexibly in a dynamic environment.
- Capacity to develop and maintain a healthy project architecture, including software used to track progress against each NVES deliverable.
