Productivity and Safety Manager

  • This role provides a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology at a remote mine site in Indonesia.
  • The successful candidate will partner with the dealer and customer to ensure optimal product performance, supporting high operational output for the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leading a team of skilled site-based employees.
  2. Maintaining key site performance metrics, including MineStar technology availability, production metrics, operating cost per tonne, MineStar fleet productivity, and safety.
  3. Partnering with the MineStar for Underground Product Support team to report any suspected product defects, collect MineStar troubleshooting data, and define interim corrective actions.
  4. Developing new products and services to meet customer current and future needs at a job site.
  5. Developing, prioritizing, and implementing strategies to address customer needs, ensuring dealer servicing and support practices align with recovery strategy.
  6. Advising on strategic direction for proper equipment selection, product problem management, and equipment management activities.

Location:

This is a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) role for a customer in Indonesia. The commencing roster is 2 weeks on site / 1 week off / 3 weeks remote from Caterpillar Australia offices. The roster is subject to change to meet operational requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following attributes:

  • University degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with CAT MineStar Technology an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in technology or mining fields.
  • Customer Focus skills: knowledge of values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions.
  • Consulting skills: knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external.
  • Effective Communication skills: understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Problem Solving skills: knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
  • Relationship Management skills: knowledge of relationship management techniques.
