Support Worker Job Description">

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing care and support to individuals with diverse special needs, helping them to maximize their independence.

This role requires adaptability, flexibility, and a person-centered approach to service delivery. You will work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to empower participants to pursue significant goals and make a positive influence in the lives of people.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing support and assistance with living skills, connections with the community, personal and social development, employment, education, and training.
  2. Assisting participants with daily living activities, money management, health and wellbeing, general life skills, and recreational activities as part of their care management plans.
  3. Creating client file notes and assisting with administrative responsibilities to ensure that operations function effectively.

Required qualifications and certifications include:

  • Relevant qualification in Disability/Aged Care/Individual Support/Social Work.
  • Full Victorian Driver's License and your own vehicle (registered in your name).
  • National Criminal Check.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate.
  • Manual Handling (preferable).
