Overview

As XCMG's business grows in Australia, the size and complexity of contracts increase. This role provides dedicated support and active management to ensure compliance with contract obligations, control contract risks, track deliverables, and coordinate commercial activities. The Commercial team consists of two specialists reporting to the Commercial and Contracts Manager: Senior Commercial Legal Counsel and Senior Commercial Specialist.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the Commercial and Contracts Manager in developing tender packs for submission to customers.
  • Review tender conditions.
  • Draft and negotiate NDAs/MoUs and minor contracts.
  • Develop a contract register for XCMG AU.
  • Manage contract delivery for assigned contracts.
  • Draft commercial letters and offers.
  • Support the sales team in building tenders and commercial proposals under the guidance of the Commercial and Contracts Manager, including ongoing contract delivery activities, monitoring contract compliance, and participating in contracts review activities.
  • Contribute to governance and risk management of key projects.
  • Assist in reducing commercial-related workload from the sales team to increase capacity for sales and business development opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Qualification in Law, CPA or engineering with experience in the mining industry.
  • Legal practice license or CPA or MBA (as applicable).
