We are seeking a skilled Leading Hand Carpenter to oversee the coordination and execution of various Switchroom projects across diverse industries, including mining, renewables, water treatment, and aviation.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small crew, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. Your primary focus will be on coordinating, guiding, and supporting your team in achieving project goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and motivating carpenters and trade assistants.
  • Allocating tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Coordinating with other trades such as Electricians and Boilermakers.
  • Performing quality checks and providing on-the-job training.

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A Carpentry Trade Certificate III.
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a leading hand or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and meet deadlines.
  • Personal hand tools and a current Driver Licence (required).
  • Relevant tickets (Forklift, EWP, Dogman, Confined Space) highly regarded.
