About the Company
Our client is a rural construction and maintenance company based in Young, NSW. They specialise in assembling prefabricated silos and delivering infrastructure projects across NSW, Victoria, and Queensland for the agriculture and infrastructure sectors.
Home base of Young, NSW is preferred but not essential, transport from the nearest city/airport to site can be covered.
We're seeking a hands-on Leading Hand to support the Site Supervisor in managing small crews on construction and maintenance projects. This role suits someone with experience in mechanical assembly, rural construction, or agricultural builds - and who's ready to step up into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Site Supervisor in leading teams of up to 5 crew members
- Oversee and participate in the safe assembly of large prefabricated silos
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of site documentation
- Travel regularly to remote/regional sites on a 3:1 Roster
- Proven experience in construction, maintenance, mechanical assembly, or rural/agricultural expereince
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- High level of physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor environments
- Essential: White Card & current Driver's Licence
- Highly Regarded: Tickets such as Forklift, EWP, Rigging, or Working at Heights
- Secure, full-time hands-on role with consistent project work
- Fast-tracked pathway into supervisory or leadership roles
- Supportive, tight-knit team culture
- Paid travel, accommodation, and daily meals
- Travel and work across diverse rural locations, contributing to large-scale infrastructure builds
