
Executive Director of Health Programs

The role of Program Manager at NSW Health is a critical position responsible for leading and managing the design, delivery, and evaluation of health promotion programs and initiatives that aim to improve the health of people living in Sydney Local Health District.
Candidates will have tertiary qualifications in health promotion, public health, marketing/communications, management, epidemiology, or other relevant disciplines. They must possess strong leadership skills, high-level experience in project planning, implementation, and evaluation of population health promotion programs, and highly developed communication, presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills.
- Develop and implement health promotion programs aligned to strategic priorities
- Lead the overall planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of current and future local and state-wide health promotion programs
- Contribute to the development and achievement of health promotion strategic directions and operations
The successful candidate will operate across all policy areas and be responsible for health promotion and research to reduce preventable health risks in the community. They will also contribute to Population Health's program of work, aligning with the Ministry of Health and Sydney Local Health District's goals, principles, and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:The key responsibilities of the Program Manager position include:
- Developing and implementing health promotion programs that align with strategic priorities
- Leading the overall planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of current and future local and state-wide health promotion programs
- Contributing to the development and achievement of health promotion strategic directions and operations
To be successful in this role, candidates will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in health promotion, public health, marketing/communications, management, epidemiology, or other relevant disciplines

- Highly developed communication, presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills
