About Workplace Risk Management

Our focus is to protect workers by preventing and reducing work-related fatalities, serious injuries, and illnesses through risk management and compliance.

We are undergoing an exciting period of transformation as we establish the organisation as a modern, strong, and standalone Work Health and Safety Regulator.

Responsibilities

  • Building internal risk capability and tools
  • Undertaking audit functions
  • Corporate Governance, including fraud and corruption, conflicts of interest, ethics, and code of conduct
  • Establishing and monitoring compliance, risk, and quality assurance policies, processes, and standards

About You

  • Ability to balance competing demands while maximising business outcomes and driving continuous improvement
  • Possession of a passion for Workplace Safety and appreciation of risk-based compliance and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience in delivering compliance programs and guiding staff on enforcement activities
  • Effective communication skills and ability to provide objective advice
  • Committed to developing risk management capabilities and improving corporate governance practices

  • Demonstrated experience in leading regulatory staff within government areas
  • Outstanding people leadership and communication skills with strategic direction to a team and drive high-performance culture
  • Strong commitment to aligning with organisational objectives and building stakeholder relationships
  • High-level strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with accountability for emerging issues

Requirements

  • Ability to travel, work remotely, and out of usual hours
  • NSW 'C' class drivers' licence with satisfactory safe driving record
  • Satisfactory criminal record check
  • Satisfactory medical assessment capacity regarding physical and psychological impacts
