Disability Support Worker Role

About Us:

A registered NDIS provider seeks experienced support workers for casual shifts to support people with disabilities in a group residential setting.

The primary focus is on manual handling, community access, transportation, personal care, and companionship. We aim to enable participants to live independently while considering their views and families.

About The Position:

We're looking for enthusiastic and passionate support workers who can assist participants in achieving their life goals and teaching new skills.

The ideal candidate will have a person-centred approach, be available to work varied times, and be energetic and excited to make a difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting participants with daily living activities, including transportation assistance, medication management, building individual strengths, and facilitating community participation.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current Police Check
  • A current driver's license
  • A car, registration, and insurance
  • A relevant qualification in Disability or Aged Care or Individual Support (an added advantage)
  • Willingsness to obtain a Victorian Working with Children's Check and a NDIS worker screening check
  • A current or willingness to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate
