Senior Project Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a senior project manager to join our team, as we grow our capabilities to support complex business projects.

The successful candidate will lead complex, long-term business capability growth & enhancement projects. They will coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives within the business unit. The senior project manager will be pivotal in establishing and leading project teams, supporting and developing project management talent, establishing project management governance framework, and driving project execution across a diverse portfolio within the business unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish, lead and manage project teams to deliver strategic objectives
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Develop project management governance framework
  • Establish schedule risk assessments and identify and mitigate project risks
  • Support and develop project management talent
  • Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with defence and safety standards
  • Report on project progress to senior leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation
About You:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in complex project environments
  • Proven leadership in setting up project teams, managing project managers and coordinators, as well as developing talent
  • Strong governance and process development capabilities
  • Understanding and experience working in centralised services business model
  • Skilled in managing diverse projects (e.g. supply chain, workforce, technology, infrastructure)
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Primavera P6, Jira, Cobra)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Autonomous, goal-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical or project management discipline
Eligibility:

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
