Town Planner Trainee RoleThis fixed-term position provides a solid foundation in statutory planning, development systems, and customer service. You will receive on-the-job mentoring and training while contributing to real-world development projects that shape our region.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide planning and development advice through pre-lodgement services
- Assist with assessing development proposals and related applications
- Support customers via counter, phone, and email interactions
- Ensure applications meet legislative requirements
- Prepare reports, memorandums, and correspondence on development matters
- Carry out site inspections and coordinate feedback from internal and external stakeholders
You must be enrolled in a tertiary course leading to a qualification in town planning or a related discipline. You should have a strong interest in development assessment and statutory planning, as well as good communication and interpersonal skills. A basic understanding of relevant planning legislation and regulations is also essential.
