This is a promising chance to embark on a career as a Town Planner and contribute to development assessment and community engagement in a diverse Sydney area.
Key Responsibilities- Provide planning and development information through our Duty Planner service.
- Prepare assessment reports and determinations on development applications and subdivision certificates.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare supporting documentation.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholder feedback on development matters.
- Respond to inquiries at the customer service counter, via email, and by phone.
- Meet statutory and Council timeframes and contribute to the delivery of efficient development services.
- You will require tertiary qualifications in Town Planning (or nearing completion).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities are required.
- You should have an understanding of relevant Acts, statutory planning processes, and customer service delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
- A Class C Driver's Licence is also required.
Desirable: Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and prior experience in local government or development assessment.
