Senior Power Systems Consultant

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Power Systems Consultant to join our team.

As a key member of our power systems department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical advice and project execution in the field of renewable energy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in electrical systems and components in an Australian context.

With significant experience in large-scale renewables design or project development, you will be well-versed in project development stages, including siting, feasibility, conceptual design, FEED, procurement, and EPC delivery.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead advisor to clients on project challenges, Owner's standard requirements, technical submissions, and expert coordination.
  • Manage time, quality, and financial aspects of projects and proposals to meet deadlines and success criteria.
  • Guide and review designs for large generator interconnections in onshore and offshore environments, with knowledge of local networks and requirements.
  • Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented and adhere to relevant codes and standards.
  • Build client relationships and communicate technical knowledge effectively, aligning projects with client objectives.
  • Assist with performance management and mentoring of team members.
  • Lead business development and proposal efforts in Power Systems.

Requirements:

Electrical engineering degree (B.Eng., BS, or MS); Chartered Professional Engineering status is highly preferred.

Expert knowledge of electrical systems and components in an Australian context.

Strong desire to contribute to the green energy transition.

15+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in large-scale renewables design or project development.

Significant project experience, preferably in a similar role.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and foster continuous learning.

Advanced knowledge of project development stages.
