This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team working on accelerating Australia's transition to a future powered by renewable energy.

As an Investment Associate, you will play a vital role in shaping the company's future portfolio across various renewable technologies. You will be responsible for building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the delivery of ambitious goals across all renewable technologies.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in investment, preferably in the renewable energy industry, and will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal. They will also possess expertise in financial modelling, risk assessment, and project bankability.

The Investment Associate will be required to work closely with the senior investment team, providing support in writing strategic papers for senior management and presenting ideas effectively within the team.

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking individual who is comfortable working in detail and pivoting to a portfolio view. They will be expected to be an engaged team member, cross-pollinating their experiences and capabilities into an investment world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Renewable Energy Industry: Understanding and interest in the Australian energy sector.
  • Deal Process: Understanding of M&A deal processes, demonstrating ability to be involved across multiple work streams with internal and external stakeholders or advisors.
  • Team Work: Strong verbal communicator and demonstrated ability to be a key member of a team.
  • Financial Modelling: Financial modelling experience, able to assess risks and project bankability, and update/build financial models.
  • Strategic Reporting: Strong communication skills and proven ability to effectively present ideas within the team and support writing strategic papers for senior management.
