Energy Market Analyst - Accelerate Renewable Energy Transition

  • This role involves supporting decision-making across the organisation's market-facing functions by delivering analysis, insights, and advice to drive strategic direction.
  • You will analyse trends within the Australian energy landscape to provide valuable insights that shape our business strategy.

This position can be based in either Melbourne or Morwell office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Modelling and Forecasting: Support the development of the organisation's market modelling and forecasting capabilities.
  • Data Management and Visualisation: Work with the team to improve data collection, interpretation, and presentation from various sources.
  • Due Diligence and Valuation: Conduct due diligence on prospective investments and inform regular valuations of existing assets & contracts.
  • Scenario Planning and Analysis: Support the team in developing alternative views of the energy transition pathway.

We are looking for a highly analytical and skilled individual who can interpret data and models to generate actionable insights. You will have tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field and 3+ years' experience in the Australian energy market.
