Food and Beverage Service Professional

Position Overview:

  • The Food and Beverage Service Professional plays a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable experience.
  • You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and Seat Guests: Warmly welcome guests, assist with seating arrangements, and provide menus.
  2. Take Orders: Knowledgeably describe menu items, answer questions, and take orders accurately, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
  3. Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver food and drinks promptly and ensure they are presented according to standard.
  4. Check on Guests: Regularly check in with diners to ensure they have everything they need and address any concerns.
  5. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the area clean and well-organised, including clearing tables, resetting, and restocking.
  6. Collaborate with Kitchen Team: Communicate orders to the kitchen and ensure that food is prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
  7. Handle Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately.
  8. Upsell and Promote: Suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the guests' experience.
  9. Handle Guest Requests: Address special requests and accommodate guests' needs to the best of your ability.
  10. Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  11. Flexibility in Work Schedule: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training provided).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
