Job Description

As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall well-being of residents by contributing to their dining experiences. You will help create a welcoming atmosphere during mealtimes and work diligently to ensure that residents receive nourishing and enjoyable meals tailored to their individual needs.

The Catering Assistant works closely with the Cook or Head Chef to prepare meals, which may include chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning food, and preparing simple dishes. They also serve meals to residents during mealtimes, ensuring that each resident receives the appropriate meal according to their dietary requirements.

In addition to meal preparation and serving, the Catering Assistant is responsible for setting up the dining areas before mealtimes, washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area.
