Teaching Role

The Academic Staff seeks a dynamic educator to join its ranks, responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a culture of growth.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at the Plenty Campus, commencing Term 1, 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans that align with Ivanhoe's Instructional Model — Warm Up, New Learning, Dive In, Reflect
  • Cultivate a learning environment that promotes curiosity, collaboration, and high expectations
  • Evaluate student progress using various data sources, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Promote holistic education, character development, and social-emotional growth among students
  • Contribute to the School's commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement
Requirements
  • You are a reflective and purposeful educator who values academic excellence, creativity, and individuality. You believe in the potential of every learner and strive to create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • You hold a relevant qualification, ideally complemented by postgraduate studies in Education, Curriculum, or Pedagogy
  • You have demonstrated success in teaching Business Management at VCE level, with experience in Commerce viewed favorably
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and stakeholders
  • You uphold a strong commitment to child safety and inclusive practice, supported by a valid VIT registration
  • You bring a solutions-focused mindset, high professional standards, and a dedication to continuous learning
  • You model and foster a culture of respect, reflection, and responsibility
