Lead Civil Engineering Designer

We are seeking a Lead Civil Engineering Designer to join our team, responsible for leading design work from concept through to detailed documentation.

  • Overseeing and producing detailed civil design for roads, drainage, earthworks, water, sewer, and utilities.
  • Reviewing and improving design processes to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Collaborating closely with engineers, architects, planners, and landscape architects to create fully integrated design solutions.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and engineers.
  • Supporting the preparation of project plans, proposals, and deliverables.
  • Representing the organization in client and authority meetings to maintain strong relationships and ensure smooth project delivery.

You will require an Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar, 5+ years' experience in infrastructure development, advanced skills in computer-aided design software, strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop detailed civil engineering plans and specifications for infrastructure projects.
  2. Manage and coordinate the design process to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design solutions and ensure effective project delivery.
  4. Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers and engineers.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure development.
  • Advanced skills in computer-aided design software, including 12D and CAD.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
