Water Infrastructure Design Specialist

As a leader in environmental consulting, our team continues to make a significant impact across Queensland.

We are seeking experienced Civil Engineers with 6 to 15 years of experience, ideally at the Senior to Associate level. Essential experience includes the design of Australian water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

About the Role:

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Civil design development and delivery through the full spectrum of the project life cycle to ensure work output is of a technically high standard.
  • Production and review of concise high-quality technical documentation.
  • Design and/or design management of a range of projects or program work packages.
  • Assisting colleagues in achieving improved client feedback results, enhance satisfaction, and exceed client expectations.
  • Assisting with the preparation and coordination of high-quality proposals and pursuits.
  • Collaborating with a team on large-scale multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects and programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Typically 4 years + experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Experience in detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in the design management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Good knowledge of relevant industry-related Australian Standards and WSAA codes would be advantageous.
  • Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartered status would be advantageous.
  • Well-developed use and understanding of Civil 3D modelling software, 2D and 3D CADD software would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Experience in Design and Construction projects would be advantageous.
